how sweet it is (the candy bar quiz)

so halloween is over and you had a lot of fun dressing up or dressing someone else up and now it’s over.  except for the mountain of candy you’ve got hanging around.  (go on, admit it, you said you tried to calculate the right amount or you said you thought there were more kids in the neighborhood or you said that last year you ran out so you had to buy more this year and…)

i try to stay away from sweet treats.  but when i’m going for a treat, i rarely have the urge to pick up a candy bar.  but for some insane reason when the bags of miniature candy bars hit the shelves i lose my mind.   i’m also cheap, so i buy what’s on sale in the 2 for 1 deals.  unfortunately most of what i like in the way of halloween candy is always on sale (or do i just always hunt out those sales?)

so setting aside for a moment what we all know about eating candy (bad) and setting aside this discussion (yikes!), here’s a little fun candy quiz to chew on instead of all that sugar (at least for the time being)

the answers to the questions are among this list of these top selling candy bars:

hershey bar         snickers     oh henry!     reese’s peanut butter cups     m&ms

kit kat     baby ruth     butterfinger    3 musketeers   milky way     junior mints

what’s the number one selling candy bar?

how many of the candy bars listed have peanuts?

which of these candy bars were marketed by being dropped out of an airplane over cities in 40 states?

which of these candy bars are made by mars?

which of these candy bars is referred to as the “mars bar” in the rest of the world?

which one is the oldest candy bar?

which one is the newest?

what do the initials “m & m” stand for?

which bar had the original name of kandy kake?

match the slogan to the candy:

a sweet to eat

the real deal

if only all good things could last this long

answers will be posted in a few days

have fun!
